Winter's close is drawing nearer and the longer, brighter days and milder temperatures are a welcome change. As spring nears we're gearing up for system upgrades and expansions planned for this year's build season.
Finalizing the timetable for our biggest pending project, completing coverage of the Boswell area, is still waiting on the outcome of our Connecting Citizens Grant Program application. The Province's announcement date of January 31st has been postponed for what will hopefully only be a brief delay. I know a lot of people in the Boswell are are eagerly awaiting this news and I expect we'll receive notice soon.
Other than two days of extended power outages from the heaviest snow storm of the winter the community network has been ticking alone fine. The network has seen a steady increase in utilization, with over a terabyte of data regularly passing through our gateway each month. It's great to see our community making good use of our this new resource.
The bitter cold in December and unexpected kinks to work out of our new solar power site slowed down new subscriber installations for awhile, but we're back at it full force and working toward catching up.
