Connecting Citizens Grant Program Award

E-mail Print PDF

Great news!  The BC Provincial Government has awarded ESIS funding through the Connecting Citizens Grant Program.  The funding will enable ESIS to build the infrastructure required to provide high-speed internet service from south Gray Creek to Sanca, completing the work begun in Boswell last year.

We are currently putting the final touches on our build plan and will be able to provide a time table for affected communities soon.  The physical work will begin this spring, and the first coverage expansions should be online by late spring / early summer.  We hope to have completed the infrastructure expansion this build season, and have connected many new subscribers along the way.

If you are interested in volunteering to help with the Boswell expansion please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 250-505-4089.

Our thanks to the Province and Network BC for their vision and commitment toward establishing this very important service for citizens of the East Shore of Kootenay Lake.  The Connecting Citizen Grant Program is overseen by the Ministry of Labour and Citizens' Services and administered by Network BC.  More information regarding the CCGP can be found at Network BC's website.

Stay tuned for further updates ...
